If you want to gain a formal qualification to start working with young children, this Programme is for you.
By completing these 8 modules you will achieve the QQI Level 5 Early Childhood Care and Education Major Award (5M2009):

- Work Experience
- Personal Effectiveness
- Early Childhood Education and Play
- School Age Childcare
- Child Health and Wellbeing
- Early Care and Education Practice
- Child Development
This is a Four Terms course duration. Two modules are run each term.

Costs:
- 20 for Registration
- 20 per module QQI Certification
There are no costs for the QQI Certification if you are registered with the Irish Social Welfare system.

After this programme, you will be able to:
Progress to employment in:
- Childcare Creches
- Nurseries
- Playgroups
- Play Assistants
Progress in further education in:
- Early Childhood Care and Education - QQI Level 6 (Liberties College and other ETB Colleges)
- Early Childhood Care and Education - Level 7 and 8 Degree Courses (TU Dubin and Marino Institute of Education)
Before joining:
- There is an informal, 10 minute interview. We will discuss your needs & what you want to get from the course.
- You will need to do a simple assessment. This is just to make sure that the course you want to do is the best one for you.
To join, you must:
- Live in Ireland (Stamp 4, 1G or an EU Passport).
- Be an Adult (over 18 years old).
- Be able to attend the classes in real-time.
- Be able to demonstrate an interest in a future career in childcare or related areas.
- No previous experience in childcare is required.
