SDG Challenge - Good Health and Well-being

This month’s SDG challenge is about Goal #3 ‘Good Health and Well-being’. To join, take one or more of these 4 challenges to make your contribution to the world, according to the Development Perspectives material:

  • Challenge #1 – Get Informed:

    Learn about the efforts being made around the world to achieve ‘Good Health and Wellbeing’. You can begin this journey of learning by reading articles or watching videos about it.

  • Challenge #2 – Be Political:

  • Challenge #3 – Educate:

    Discuss Good Health and Wellbeing with your friends, family or colleagues. It can be an informal chat with a cuppa or an organised workshop where you can tackle the issues head on with a group. Be sure to share any educational activities with us using #SDGchallenge.

  • Challenge #4 – #PositiveAddictions:

    Positive addictions “strengthen us and make our lives more satisfying.” Positive addictions, unlike their negative cousins, enhance life. This October we’re asking you to dedicate time to developing or strengthening your own personal #positiveaddictions. Share your journey, ask for advice and mentor others using the hashtags #positiveaddiction and #Saolta And remember it takes 21 days to form a habit and 90 days to create a lifestyle.

In September 2015, world leaders from 193 countries came together to adopt the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs mean we as individuals can take action every month to raise awareness and to help achieve a sustainable future by 2030. This initiative is supported by Development Perspectives and has been shared by Anne Hannan, a tutor at Warrenmount Centre

‘We hope you will join us and take the challenge so we all “learn by doing” and ensure a better world. Hopefully, we will learn a little bit more about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) as well and why they are important for us, our families and our planet.’
